FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What can I use ghee for? Plus icon
Anything you'd use butter or oil for. It's not just for curries. Ghee is incredibly versatile- use it to sear steaks, fry eggs, roast veggies, bake cookies, or simply spread it on warm toast.
What does it taste like? Plus icon
Like butter, but better. Because it is slow-simmered, our ghee has a deeply rich, nutty flavor with subtle hints of caramel and butterscotch.
Why is it better than other cooking oils? Plus icon
Besides the rich flavour, it handles the heat. Ghee has a high smoke point of 230°C, meaning it won't burn or oxidize at high temperatures. By comparison, regular butter burns at 175°C and olive oil at 190°C.
Where should I store my ghee? Plus icon
Pantry or fridge- it’s up to you. Ghee is shelf-stable and doesn't need refrigeration. Keep it in the pantry if you want it soft and easy to spread, or in the fridge if you prefer it solid and easy to scoop.
Is ghee halal? Plus icon
Yes. It's made from 100% pure dairy cream and contains no animal fats or additives, making it naturally halal-friendly.
Is ghee lactose-free? Plus icon
Almost. While made from butter, the clarifying process filters out almost all dairy proteins (casein) and sugars (lactose). It’s highly digestible and great for those sensitive to lactose.
Why is my ghee grainy? Is that normal? Plus icon
Yes, it’s a sign of quality. Ghee naturally separates into tiny granules as it cools at room temperature. This texture is completely normal and melts away instantly in the pan.
